More About Me, Leticia:

I am a bilingual (English/Spanish) birth and postpartum doula trained by DONA International and San Francisco General Hospital. No matter the language, subject, or age range, I have always been drawn to education, social justice, and taking care of people.

Becoming a doula was a lifelong passion of mine. It was an obvious choice for me, as it requires the combination of compassion and care with a wide range of skills that I have developed in different industries, including how to work within hierarchies, to access resources and create systems, and to meet people where they are at and get them what they need.

I  have always been someone grounded to turn to in a moment of uncertainty and passionate about ensuring voices are heard and needs are met.

I am especially dedicated to making sure that what I teach is individualized, approachable, and genuinely understood, taking into account the diversity and intersectionalities that inform each family’s birth experience.

As a queer woman and proud immigrant, I am especially passionate about creating and ensuring a safe and supportive environment for everyone, no matter their gender identity, sexual expression, relationship/family structure, primary language, religion, or culture.
